A Well-Made Model Of A French Gribeauval Field Gun, Limber And Munitions Carriage (Caisson)
19th Century

With brass barrel of tapering multi-stage form with raised mouldings and bell-shaped muzzle, angular lifting handles, knob-shaped cascabel, and plain trunnions: on original wooden field carriage with open trail and spoked wheels, painted dark green with iron mounts painted black, the manoeuvring limber and munitions carriage en suite, the latter with hinged arched lid covered in iron sheet secured by dome-headed brass nails (3)
