A Fine Left-Hand Dagger
Late 16th Century

With tapering waved double-edged blade of stiff diamond section sharply tapering at the point and cut with narrow fullers over most of its length on all sides pierced with minute circular holes and keyhole slots, rectangular ricasso en suite and recessed for the thumb on one side, iron hilt comprising straight faceted quillons widening towards the tips, side-ring, pommel of double fleur-de-lys shape with button finial, and spirally-grooved grip bound with twisted steel and copper wire between Turk's heads
