An Indian Pulouar
The Hilt 18th Century Or Earlier, The Blade 17th Century Or Earlier

With curved single-edged blade (worn overall), the forte on one side with a cartouche inscribed 'Marjit(?) al-Misri (the Egyptian) in thuluth script, and with a further indistinct inscription in nastaliq script along the back above a deeply cut decorative panel, perhaps a kufic inscription, steel hilt of similar form to the last with pierced pommel filled with jingles, and grip reinforced with twisted silver wire at the top
