A German Left-Hand Dagger

With tapering blade of flattened diamond section, rectangular ricasso hollowed for the thumb on each side, iron hilt comprising vertically recurved quillons widening towards the drop-shaped tips and chiselled on the outside in imitation of fur, side-ring en suite and with punched-in fluted oval at the centre, flattened ovoidal pommel also en suite and with button finial, and spirally-grooved grip retaining most of its twisted steel wire biding (some wear and pitting overall)
