An Indian Pulouar
18th Century Or Earlier

With curved blade double-edged toward the point and cut with a central fuller over most of its length on each side followed by a series of four fullers along the back, steel hilt of characteristic form chiselled with lines and designs of foliage, comprising pointed langets, downbent stylised Makara-head quillons chiselled with arabesques, hollow cup-shaped pommel pierced with small holes between raised spiral lines, and filled with jingles retained by a disc-shaped cap with rayed domed finial, and swelling grip, in wooden two-piece scabbard (damaged, covering missing) with original deep steel chape en suite with the hilt (some rust patination overall)
