An Unusual Indian Pulouar
The Hilt 18th Century Or Earlier

With broad curved single-edged blade cut with a narrow fuller over most of its length on each side bordered by an incised panel of running arabesques, the forte (expertly spliced together) with borders en suite, one side with incised ornament and etched ovoidal bladesmith's mark, steel hilt of characteristic form comprising pointed langets, downbent stylised Makara-head quillons, large spherical pommel made in two halves, cut with spiral lines and with small button finial on a brass washer, and swelling faceted grip of flattened ovoidal section (some rust patination)
