A Composite Dagger
Mid-17th Century

With shortened rapier blade of flattened hexagonal section with long pierced fuller and stamped with a mark on each face of the waisted point, iron hilt from a scarf-sword and comprising downbent lobed flattened silver-inlaid quillons springing from an oval silver-inlaid quillon-block, incised flattened ovoidal pommel with prominent button, and spirally fluted grip bound with twisted iron and copper wire between iron and copper Turk's heads (the top one replaced)
