Two Bronze-Hilted Daggers, And Two Iron-Mounted Quillon Daggers
17th/18th Century

The first with saw-backed tapering double-edged blade, the pierced hilt cast in the round with three putti at play; the second with slender blade of hollow triangular section, the hilt cast in the form of a winged mermaid; the third with slender blade of flattened diamond section, the hilt with short button quillons, wooden grip in the form of a knotted branch, and swelling spirally fluted pommel; the last with slender blade of hollow triangular section, the hilt with horizontal baluster quillons, swelling vertically fluted wooden grip of octagonal section, and cushion-shaped pommel with stepped button (the third and last dagger each surface pitted) (4)
