An All-Steel Left-Hand Dagger
Perhaps Mid-17th Century

With tapering double-edge blade of flattened diamond section, flat ricasso of tapering rectangular section struck on its inner face with an indistinct mark, and hilt of stiletto form comprising boldly turned button quillons flattened at each tip and faceted at the centre, grip of octagonal section swelling and recessed in the middle, and compressed globular pommel (associated?) with a chiselled feature at the front, probably a portrait bust
