A Rare German Dagger Of 'Landsknecht' Type
First Half Of The 16th Century

With tapering double-edged blade (possibly reduced) of hollow off-set diamond section forming a medial ridge to the point, iron hilt comprising short downcurved quillons with writhen spherical tips, compressed globular pommel cut with fluting, and vertically fluted dark horn grip (minor insect damage) of swelling flattened ovoidal section between shims of brass (some wear and pitting overall)
