A German Rondel Dagger
Early 16th Century

In excavated condition, entirely of iron, with stout tapering single-edged blade struck with a star-shaped mark and swelling towards the reinforced point, small lobed flat oval guard, swelling tubular grip incised with crossed double lines between horizontal triple lines, and flaring slightly convex circular pommel (loose) decorated with radiating flutes and with central diamond-shaped washer
