The first in the form of a medieval sword with tapering double-edged blade, horizontal rectangular quillons, flat-sided octagonal pommel, and leather-bound grip; the second composite and with stout tapering double-edged blade of hollow diamond section, the ricasso flattened at the centre for the thumb and struck with a mark, a quatrefoil, solid slightly concave oval guard, vertically fluted grip of octagonal section swelling at the centre and with a stepped moulding above and beneath, and vertically fluted pommel divided into ten sections surmounted by a baluster button, the entire hilt retaining traces of gilding; the last with stout fullered blade of triangular section, swept cast-iron guard with female head terminal, spirally fluted dark horn grip, and Italianate cast-iron pommel formed as the head of a boy in Renaissance style (3)
