A Javanese Gold-Mounted Kris

With tapering pattern-welded double-edged blade of slightly hollowed flattened diamond section, the gandja encrusted with chased gold foliage along the top, gold mendaq set with rose-cut diamonds between beaded borders, and characteristic carved planar hilt, in its wooden scabbard with characteristic lightly figured wranka and gold pendok, the latter embossed and chased along the outside with pairs of peacocks and foliage highlighted in green enamel (minor losses)
