In excavated condition, comprising a sword of Petersen Type X, with broad tapering double-edged blade, hilt comprising flat tapering cross-piece, flat tapering tang, and pommel of flattened 'tea-cosy' form; a battle-axe, with slightly crescentic cutting-edge curving down into a 'beard', block-shaped peen, and made in one with the central socket drawn-out to a point above and below on both sides; a spear-head with leaf-shaped point of flattened diamond section, and integral socket of tapering circular section; a Scramasax with characteristic fullered blade; another, smaller, cut with a double fuller along the back on each side; a pair of prick spurs; and a tinder-striker of stirrup form, with incised line decoration along each side, and retaining its original suspension chain and swivel (8)
