Two Burmese Dhas
Late 19th/20th Century

Each with slightly curved single-edged blade decorated over its entire length on each side in damascened silver with engraved figures in contemporary costume labelled in Burmese script and divided by panels of scrolling foliage, the forte on each side with further Burmese inscriptions, and wooden hilts each entirely covered in silvered brass embossed and chased with bands of foliage, and large spherical pommels en suite, each in its wood-lined scabbard en suite with the hilt and with two rings for suspension (silvering worn on one scabbard) (2)
