A Rare Medieval Hand-And-A-Half Sword Of Oakeshott Type XX

In excavated condition, with broad tapering double-edged blade with double shallow central fullers forming a narrow medial ridge over two thirds of its length on each side, hilt comprising spatulate horizontally recurved quillons with bevelled edges, the shaped quillon-tips and either side of the rectangular quillon-block decorated with incised lines, long flat tapering tang, and stopper-shaped pommel of fluted octagonal section deeply cut with three rectangular recesses on one side
