A Medieval Sword Of Petersen Type Y
12th/13th Century

In excavated condition, with tapering double-edged blade with deep central fuller over two thirds of its length on both sides, hilt comprising quillons of flat ovoidal form, flat tapering tang, and pommel of 'cocked-hat' form
74.5 cm. blade, 94 cm. overall
