The First 11th/12th Century, Possibly Viking, The Remainder Probably 15th/16th Century Or Earlier
Of iron and in excavated condition, the first with long tapering blade of flattened diamond section highly unusually pattern-welded over half its length, and tapering to a moulding above the open socket; the second with double-edged leaf-shaped blade with medial ridge along both sides, and integral open socket of tapering circular section; the third of similar form, with plain leaf-shaped blade; and the last almost forming a pair, each with sharply-pointed leaf-shaped blade and integral socket of tapering circular section (5)
