Second Quarter Of The 18th Century
With tapering blade double-edged towards the point and fullered over its entire length on each side with a narrow fuller bordering it along the back, iron guard of rounded bars framing lightly fretted incised and fluted panels pierced with hearts and small circles, and with an oval aperture for reins on one side, fore-guards, small scrolled wrist-guard, fluted bun-shaped pommel with prominent flat button, and spirally-fluted fishskin-covered grip (wire binding incomplete, some wear and pitting overall)
