An English Silver-Hilted Small-Sword, A Cup-Hilt Rapier In Spanish 17th Century Style, And An 1847 Pattern Naval Officer's Sword
The First Circa 1760

The first with russet sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section with etched and gilt decoration on both sides of the forte, hilt comprising slightly upturned oval shell-guard, quillon-block with lobed quillons, knuckle-guard, and globular pommel (minor damage) with button, all cast, pierced and chased with scrolling tendrils centred on bright-cut roundels within borders en suite, and grip bound with twisted silver wire and ribbon (some wear overall); the second with tapering Klingenthal blade of hollow triangular section, plain cup-guard, quillons and knuckle-guard of circular section, compressed ovoidal pommel, and wire-bound grip (lightly pitted overall); the last of regulation pattern (blade with surface rust), hilt retaining some original gilding, and with wire-bound fishskin-covered grip (3)
