With curved fullered single-edged blade (some rust patination and scattered light pitting) etched along both sides with symmetrical designs of foliage between etched, blued and gilt panels of foliage and a martial trophy, cast and chased stirrup hilt (very minor fracture and light bruising) comprising leaf-shaped langets each bearing a sprig of berries, plain lobed rear quillon, knuckle-guard with further berries and foliage in relief along each side, pommel and back-piece with flower-heads and foliage, and partly ribbed and fluted ivory grip (old cracks), in original black leather scabbard (some old cracking) with ormolu locket, chape (repaired) and suspension mount each with decoratively shaped borders and engraved with foliage on the outside, the locket signed in full on the inside, two rings for suspension, and some original gilding (gilding rubbed, particularly on the scabbard mounts)
