A Scottish Field Officer's Sword
Early 20th Century

With fullered blade etched along each side with foliate scrollwork involving a crowned 'GR' cypher, and with thistles on both sides of the forte, plated steel hilt with 'honeysuckle' piercing and retaining its buff leather liner faced in red wool, chequered pommel and back-piece in one, wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, and complete with its red silk tassel, in its nickel-plated steel scabbard with two rings for suspension
