A Continental Cavalry Trooper's Sabre
19th Century

With bright curved fullered blade, steel three bar hilt with slender faceted langets and struck on the underside with an anchor, lobed rear quillon, pommel and back-piece in one, and ribbed leather-covered grip, in its leather-covered wooden scabbard with steel mounts and two rings for suspension (some rust patination)
