The first with bright blade etched within the fuller on both sides with scrolling foliage involving the arms of the State of Brunei, nickel-plated steel hilt pierced with foliage and etched with the state arms, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in its nickel-plated scabbard with two rings for suspension; the second with bright slightly curved pipe-back blade, pierced regulation nickel-plated hilt involving the Chilean arms within a laurel wreath, chequered and ribbed hard-rubber grip, and bullion sword-knot, in its steel scabbard painted black and with a ring for suspension (2)
