An Indian 32-Bore Matchlock Gun
18th/19th Century

With russet twist sighted barrel retained by six brass barrel bands and with silver-damascened decoration at the slightly flared muzzle and at the breech, standing back-sight, the iron and brass mounts behind the breech punched with foliage, pan with pivoting cover, iron side-plates retained by transverse pins with brass floret-shaped washers, fruitwood three-quarter stock, butt-plate formed of shims of ivory and horn, slender iron trigger-plate with tapering terminals, shaped trigger, baluster pricker (point missing) retained by a chain, sling mounts, and original iron ramrod
