With domed fluted skull decorated overall with gold- and silver-damascened vertical graduated cartouche-shaped panels of foliage against grounds of scrollwork, fitted with two plume-holders, adjustable nasal with shaped terminals and held in the up position by a hinged catch, and central spike on a domed petalled mount, all decorated en suite with the skull, and with padded fabric liner (camail missing)
