19th Century

With curved blade etched with a watered design, double-edged at the point of flattened diamond section and with a medial ridge over half its length on each side, the back of T-section gold-damascened with arabesques against a blued ground, the forte on both sides with a panel of gold-damascened flowering foliage against a blued ground, and beaked iron hilt of plano-convex section gold-damascened en suite, in original wooden scabbard covered in purple velvet (some damage, plush worn-off) with iron suspension mount and chape en suite with the hilt
