With characteristic plated single-edged leaf-shaped blade, waisted horn grip carved with two foliate bands, and white-metal mounts, in original silver-mounted wooden scabbard covered in purple velvet, the locket and chape embossed and pierced with foliage set with imitation rubies and emeralds on the outside, the locket pierced with the crowned insignia of the 7th Gurkha rifles below the inscription 'C.R.H.B. From The Gurkhas 7 G.R A/R P.L.', together with a Turkish N.C.O.'s short sword, by E. & F. Hörster, Solingen, early 20th century, the blade (some surface rust) etched with panels of Arabic inscriptions, and characteristic hilt with fishskin-covered grip bound with twisted wire (incomplete), in its steel scabbard (some rust patination) (2)
