An Italian (Roman) Powder-Horn
Second Quarter Of The 18th Century

Formed from a section cowhorn, the body naievely carved in bas-relief with a male and female figure, the former on horseback, a church, Papal arms, birds and animals including a serpent at the top, the nozzle emerging from its mouth, and with wooden base-plug
19 cm.
