George Underwood, born in 1947, attended Ravensbourne College of Art in Bromley. With his friend, David Bowie, he released a single in 1964, as Davie Jones And The King Bees. George went on to work for the design studios of Pye Records and the New English Library. He became a well known illustrator of fantasy, horror and science fiction books and covers in particular.
