Footnotes
This limited edition wristwatch is one of 1975 made to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the handshake between astronaut Lieutenant General Thomas P. Stafford of the USA and cosmonaut Lieutenant General Alexei A. Leonov of the USSR. On July 17th, 1975, while wearing their Omega Speedmaster Professional wristwatches, they met in the docking hatch of their spacecrafts.
This dial has been cut from a meteorite; therefore, no two are identical as each extra-terrestrial rock is unique. Upon its high speed entrance into the earth's atmosphere, a meteorite cools dramatically, resulting in an interestingly textured rock coloured black from surface oxidation.
