Simon De Charmes. A rare early 18th century tortoiseshell pair case pocket watch
Circa 1720
Fusee verge movement with applied silver open-work to the top-plate initialled D, squared baluster pillars, silver dial with Roman hourly numerals and outer five minute Arabic divisions, aperture at 6 for mock pendulum and regulation, polished silver hinged inner case, outer with green tortoiseshell cover and large stud work, dial signed 61mm.
