Joseph Munday, Londini. A mid to late 17th century incomplete silver case alarm and calendar pocket watch
Circa 1660
Converted fusee verge movement with later small balance cock, retained steel worm set up, originally striking on a bell, strike train lacking, tulip pillars, Roman hour chapter, inner rotating alarm disc with detailed foliate engraving to the centre, later gilt hand soldered to the alarm, silver calendar chapter around the outside edge, original inner case with intricately engraved flowers throughout the case and bezel, later outer case with glazed back, movement signed 50mm.
