C.L.Guinand. A turn of the 20th century 14ct gold open face keyless wind split seconds pocket watch
Case and Movement No.31186, Circa 1900
Jewelled Swiss straight line lever movement with polished steel chronograph work and swan neck regulation, Geneva stop work, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, enamel dial with black Arabic numerals and outer minute track, outer 1/5th second divisions with Arabic five minute markers in blue, subsidiary dials at 12 and six for 30 minute recording and running seconds, gilt Louis XV hands, polished round case with gold cuvette and exhibition back, chronograph function activated via stem, split seconds button set into the case band at 11, dial and movement signed 52mm.
