J. Sewill. A fine late 19th century 18ct gold full hunter quarter repeating chronometer pocket watch with up and down dial
Circa 1880
Jewelled 3/4 plate free-sprung movement with English lever escapement, blued steel helical spring, enamel dial with black Roman numerals and outer five minute divisions, offset seconds dial with up-down indication at 3, blued steel hands, engine turned case with slide repeat in the band, winding through the crown when the front case is closed, winding apertures through the back, casemaker's mark JM, possibly for James or John Martin, dial and movement signed 52mm.
