George Wentworth, Oxon. An early 18th century silver case alarm pocket watch
No.69, Circa 1740
Fusee verge movement with pierced and engraved balance cock, silver regulation, round pillars, engraved alarm train, champlevé dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minute indication, central rotating alarm disc, blued steel beetle and poker hour and alarm hands, pierced and engraved inner case with two winding apertures through the back, outer case lacking, movement signed 47mm.
