Footnotes
Peto was Brockbank's master watchmaker. The three part compensated balance with massive concentrically adjustable key weights also has the 'overbanking protection' or 'Peto cross detent escapement,' which was also known to be used by Breguet in his tourbillon watches. For a similar watch, see 'Pocket watches,' by Reinhard Meis, P. 215.
