Ralph Gout. A late 18th century gilt metal open face pedometer pocket watch
No.51, Circa 1795
Gilt full plate movement signed 'By the King's Letter Patent' with pierced and engraved cock, blued steel screws and set-up over plain circular pillars, signed enamel dial with hour time dial at 12, concentric units to 100 and subsidiaries for 1-10 and 100-1000, in a heavy polished numbered case with specially adapted open bow for the pedometer chain 54mm.
