Joseph Herring, London. A mid 18th century silver pair case key wind repeating coach watch
No.2420, London Hallmark for 1762
Gilt brass full plate movement with pierced and engraved balance cock, silver regulation, squared baluster pillars, large steel polished hammers striking on a large bell, later enamel dial with painted black Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minute indication, silver pierced and engraved inner and outer cases, the inside depicting Neptune and sea creatures, case maker's mark LM for Lewis Masquerier stamped on the inside and outside cases, push repeat via the later bow and stem, movement signed 90mm.
