A bust-length silhouette of a Gentleman, profile to the left, wearing double-breasted coat, frilled chemise and tied stock, his hair cropped.
Painted on ivory and bronzed, gilt-metal frame, the reverse glazed to reveal a pressed four-leaf clover beneath brooch pin attachment, the rim to the reverse engraved Josa Cowling, died 20 Sept. 1814 aged 35.
