A Roman marble sarcophagus relief fragment
Circa 2nd-3rd Century A.D.
Depicting a winged erote standing facing to the right, with a cloak clasped around his neck and drapery flowing over his left arm and behind, holding a cornucopia, his right wing outstretched, a winged Nike standing to the left, wearing drapery revealing her left breast, with both her wings outstretched behind, 24in (60.9cm) long, mounted

Literature:
From the right end of an imago clipeata sarcophagus. Nike would have been holding the roundel of the deceased and there would have been four erotes to represent the Four Seasons such as inv. 2631 in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Copenhagen, Denmark.
