The decoration in the over-painted technique, depicting on side (a) two nude boxers, their arms outstretched, side (b) depicting a seated male figure wearing a chiton, a bearded male draped in a himation to his right leaning on a staff, the decoration framed with a dot and saltire square pattern, the rim with a floral pattern with two palmettes above the handles, 14in (35.5cm) high
