A Greek red-figure bell krater
Apulia, circa 4th Century B.C.
The decoration enlivened with a white slip, side (a) depicting a nude male holding a patera, facing a female figure draped in a himation carrying a cista, rosettes and flora in the field, side (b) depicting two male figures draped in himatioi facing each other, one leaning on a staff, a band of line and dot design on the ground-line, palmettes beneath the handles, 11¼in (28.5cm) high
