A Late Roman to Byzantine bronze reliquary box
Circa 4th-6th Century A.D.
Of rectangular form, set on four short feet, the sides with linear decoration, the hinged lid with folded overlapping edges, the exterior of the lid with an applied silver boar in relief, the details of the bristles and tusks articulated, 3½in x 2½in x 1¾in (9cm x 6.3cm x 4.5cm)
