A pair of Merovingian gilt bronze and garnet buckles
Frankish, circa 5th-6th Century A.D.
Each with the solid oval loop hinged to the hook of the tongue and catch-plate, the square catch-plate with four garnet inlays, with four rivets at the corners, 1 3/8in (3.5cm) long (2)
