A pair of Parthian gold and garnet earrings
Iran, circa 1st-2nd Century A.D.
Each composed of gold loop hinged to a ovoid bezel below inlaid with green glass, from which a crescent shaped garnet-inlaid element is suspended, flanked by two gold bead strung wires, two pendant garnet inlaid teardrops hanging either side of a gold filigree bead strung wire, one with a small malachite bead, 2½in (6.3cm) long (2)
