A pair of Roman gold, garnet, emerald and pearl earrings with dove pendants
Circa 3rd-4th Century A.D.
Each composed of a plain gold wire hoop with a granulated gold conical pendant set with garnets, a granulated gold dove suspended from a loop-in-loop chain below, the dove with a heart-shaped wing with filigree border, granulated detail on the breast, an emerald set into each side with three small pearls below, 2¾in (6cm) long, mounted (2)
