A pair of Hellenistic gold ornaments
Eastern Mediterranean, circa 4th-3rd Century B.C.
Composed of three gold sheet rosettes, mounted on a gold sheet hollow tubular support, the bottom and central rosettes left plain, composed of six petals interspersed with thin pointed leaves, the top rosette with central round stigma and nine petals outlined by gold wire, ten hooks in between the petals holding pearl pendants, some now missing, with an attachment loop under the base, 1½in (4cm) high, 3in (7.5cm) max diam; weight 24 and 22 grams (2)
