A South Arabian bronze votive plaque
Circa A.D. 50-65
With four dentils below the raised upper border and a row of beading on the lower edge, the five lines of Qatabanian script reading ' (1) Hawkam Nabat and the gods of the temple Shab'an the dedication...(2)...and as tribute in the town Hdw...as promised...(3)...when...helped...the command of Amm... (4)...and may it be favourable and [keep] his dedication [safe] against anyone who may damage or remove it from its place by 'Atttar and by [Amm...] (5)...[and by dhat] 'Dhnm and by his lord Waraw'il Ghaylan Yuhan'im king of Qataban and...' 35½in (89cm) long
