Four Sasanian banded agate stamp seals
Iran, circa 4th-5th Century A.D.
All dome-shaped, pierced for suspension, one with black and white bands, carved with three winged lion's heads joint in the centre, enclosed by a Pahlavi inscription, the other three showing profile busts of high ranking officials, with typical long hair and beard, two depicted wearing a headdress and earrings, one enclosed by a border of dashes, the other inscribed 'Reliance on the God', the third bust with a wish of 'Good Days', 16mm-21mm diam
